Ibezapolstat for C. difficile Infection

Microbiome-Preserving Approach
Unlike broad-spectrum antibiotics, ibezapolstat selectively targets susceptible bacteria through DNA polymerase IIIC inhibition. A narrower microbiologic effect may allow the gut microbiome to recover more quickly after treatment.
Acute and Recurrent CDI Strategy
The company is preparing a registrational program for acute CDI and a pilot PATHFINDER study in patients with multiple recurrences. Data from the recurrent-disease study are intended to inform a later active-controlled Phase 3 trial.
